Avid Partners Welcomes New Hires
Avid Partners is delighted to welcome two new additions to the accounting team.
15 July 2020: This month Avid Partners welcomes new recruits: Ger McGovern and Monika Weglarska to the accounting team.
Ger McGovern, FCCA, joins Avid Partners as Senior Accountant and brings with him significant experience in all areas of finance including accounting, taxation, audit, management, and corporate finance.
Ger is a native of Ballinagh. Co Cavan. He attended Athlone IT and graduated with a Diploma in Professional Accounting. Ger is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) since 1997 and qualified as a Chartered Tax Consultants in 2016.
Prior to joining Avid Partners, Ger worked with several practices including DLT, Sandyford and PKF, Harold’s Cross, Dublin, acquiring considerable experience across a broad range of clients and industry sectors. Ger enjoys working closely with clients, getting to know their business and offering practical guidance and advice.
Monika Weglarska joins the accounting team as a Bookkeeper and Accountants Assistant. A native of Poland, Monika is now resident in Portlaoise. Monika has a master’s degree in finance and accounting, from Romuald Kudlinski OLYMPUS University, Warsaw, and a bachelors’ degree in sociology from the JOHN Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
Prior to taking up her role with Avid Partners, Monika worked in accounting roles with Ken Herbert & Co Accountants in Kildare and Almas Industries based in Dublin.
Commenting on the new hires, Jamie O’ Hanlon, Managing Director, Avid Partners said, “despite a challenging environment for business right now, we are happy to report that Avid Partners is in expansion mode. Given their experience and expertise in our core practice areas, Monika and Ger will be valuable additions to the team.
